The Challenge

With hundreds of wine brands and varietals to choose from, the wall of wine can be intimidating for consumers to shop. 

The challenge laid down was how technology can be used to help shape decisions and recommend products, based on considerations such as tasting notes an individual will like, what they are cooking with, or something that is suitable for a particular event?

The Solution

Using an AI chatbot model to generate bespoke recommendations based on various inputs - scan a bottle to find out more, walk through guided evolving questions, or simply ask any question through text.

Our AI Wine Assistant is more advanced than standard chatbots and databases. It uses advanced natural language processing to understand user preferences and context in real time. 

Unlike systems that rely on set responses, it dynamically adapts to complex questions, providing personalised responses including wine and food pairings that evolve with each interaction. With each question the model learns more and refines its answers to better answer future queries.

Value was added for retailers by drawing in summaries of consumer reviews online, recommending snack pairings and showing the capability to highlight retailer special offers on a particular product.
